How about character map? I don't see it on mine but it's pretty old. My new keyboard has a key for it, though.

The direct patch page on MS's site. Just heard Leo Laport say something about it. But I could be wrong, I'm doing about 5 things at once right now.

Hahaha got it ...

If you can see this symbol at your screen ,your OS supports the Euro ..

Well i have two Input locales at my keyboard .

US one and Greek ..

I had to turn to the Greek one and after to use the combination of Alt - Control-E

Microsoft also say that the US locales can use the the short cut key Alt-Control-5 , but it does not work for me ..

Also another combination is Right Alt + 5 ,but also it does not work for me .
The Alt + 0128 works too :)

Does it work for you ?

Welcome !!!

I tried to scan all the new coins, but the scanner output is all scrambled. So no pics for now. Oh well, anyway, I'm very happy that I can finally stop carrying around three different currencies (Dutch, German, Belgian money). :) Only thumbs up from me for the €.

Cheers,

Thanks SD :) . I have to admit, it's Sync inspired. I saw his, thought it was a good idea and whipped this one up in PSP in like 2 minutes. :D

I made my first € transaction last night. I ordered pizza, boy, it felt strange paying with euro hehehe.

Yeah, that would be weird to just have your money change overnight. I'm so glad to hear the changeover went well though. The world's economy doesn't need anything else mucking it up right now... The NIKKEI is up, so that's a good start to the year. We'll see how the US market does in the morning.

LMAO

ok well my sister wrote me an email..

I was gonna trnaslate part of it with Altavista Babelfish and post it here..

the translation, however makes no sense whatsoever...
Original

Translation
- Since today or since yesterday we pay no more with DM by the
- way separate with the EURO which for let us scheiss I sagx27s
- you! I was this morning with the baker and even a shop
- assistant it yet did not look. " everything sees out " it alike
- meant. And another has meant " occurs oneself there one as

- sometime again back to come should to euro country then must
- you probably with it deal with itself. But you will see it if to her

I will correct it when I get up; it's bed time for me...
until then I guess only german speaking ppls will understand..

I'll be the nice guy and translate... :D

From today on, or rather yesterday, we don't pay with DM (Deutsche Mark) anymore but with the €, it's bs trust me. I was at the bakery this morning, and even the clerk (??) didn't get it. "It all looks the same!", and another one said "It feels like being in a foreign country."

-----------------------------------------------

The rest is private stuff and non-essential.

I for one, am DAMN HAPPY that we got the Euro though. Finally no more carrying three damn currencies around with me (obviously I live in a small country close to the borders of Belgium (2 miles) and Germany (20 miles)). Plus, I think the combined currency will eventually be stronger and more stable than the individual ones. Also, cross-border trade within "Euroland" will be MUCH easier. No more exchange rate risk. No more fees for exchanging currencies.

I have to live with it, I study international business, and I love it. Go figure :D .

Cheers,

Euro is power , 300.000.000 people now will work and cooperate together ..

Euro will make Europe a strong giant , i feel sorry for the British ,as some of them still fight to hold theyr pound ..

Greece who soud be the bigger fighter against it ,is the bigger supporter of it ..

The Greek Drahma hads 2700 years history ..

Any way as European i believe that we will have some litle problems in the start ,until to get to use to it :) ,but we will make it .. :D
