Pre-Natal Vitamin questions...urgent!

Post by JawZ »

Not an emergency but my wife keeps getting sick from the vitamins...she stopped today and so far has not gotten sick. anyone know anything about them or why different brands vary so much? Can she just take a regular multi-vitamin???

Keep the C and E to RDA requirements..... Otherwise the baby will have extraordinary needs for the aforementioned vitamins.
Folic acid important...

Even a bowl of Total cereal would be good.

David, my wife always took Centrum before she was pregnant...do you think that would suffice? she's going to see her doc this Monday to ask about changing cause she can't keep anything down after she has one of those prenatals...

David's right, I think the folic acid is what she's looking for...
When they kick at your front door, how you gonna come? With your hands at your head, or the trigger of your gun?

Bottom line: Consult a physician, not your local forum!

lol...the physcician is the one who prescribed this stuff in the first place. Her sister is pregnant also but is taking a different prenatal vitamin and hasn't ever gotten sick. But you're right and thats why she's going Monday...I just wanna know more about it.

Centrum with a folic acid boost would suffice. Solgar makes a decent Prenatal... though a bit heavy handed. I will have to get back to you on the best one....

BTW. Women have been doing the pregnancy thing without vitamin suppliments for many many years... Do not go wild with them.

Thank you...finally some sanity! My wife thinks everyone back in the 1700's had vitamins and epidurals and you name it. She just doesn't understand the value of good food and exercise. Hopefully, they will move her to something less likely to make her ralph. :D
