LOTR Trailer Out

Post by Jim »

And yep, Apple was dumb by not even having any kind of mirrors, so expect 28.8 speeds downloading it for now.

A few sites have it mirrored though, so check it out:

IMHO, this is looking pretty freaking good. I havn't read the books before (fantasy stuff doesn't intrest me too much), but I think I might after seeing this trailer. And this is only part 1!

Go. Download. Now. :p

BIGJIMSLATE, read the books they're awesome. Start with The Hobbitt for background then read the LOTR trilogy! They are worth far more than their fantasy content.

The books, I'd give a C+, maybe a B-, but I read a lot... For someone who doesn't read much, they aren't worth it, and the movie has been said to be rather sappy in plot.

Er...don't you want to actually wait for the damn movie to be RELEASED before you say its a "10% good movie"?

Tolkein's books are great man, that's why nearly all fantasy authors are compared to Tolkein's ability.
I haven't read them in a while, so they may have lost some of their appeal, but they are still a book anyone should read.

These are some of the most exceptional books ever written, and would reccommend them beyond most others (Dune series by Frank Herbert being next in line.) I was somewhat dissappointed by the first attempts at making movies of Tolkien's work, but this looks more like it...

Well, I might go see one movie this year, and it will be that one. Looks very tasty, LOTR brings back good memories.

T3 is expected probably next summer. It was supposed to be on track for this previous summer, but shyt happens.

Robocop is more of a pipe dream, than reality. :D
