Also This might help remove the cover and remove your memory pull your CMOS battery leave alone for at least 15 minutes replace you battery then your memory...Sava700 wrote:the only way I can think you did is if you ripped the ISO from a torrent that was infected already.
1 Set up your Bios..
2 reinstall your OS ( Clean install )
if your Virus is still there then its the ISO of a hacked Ver of your OS...
what u mean ISO?is it the OS?if your talking about the OS,yes,we've just downloaded that from the website..but we already installed it to his cousins computer..but no virus is detected?Sava700 wrote:I've you've reinstalled from a original disk then you shouldn't have no virus left... the only way I can think you did is if you ripped the ISO from a torrent that was infected already.

You should have the original disk that came with your system or got a friends that was a legit copy.
Please give site you got it from.

Hopefully http://www.microsoft.comMCpoolish wrote:dunno whats the website,forgot it already,but i know its a sp2..
Trying to use cracked/warez software, you run the ever increasing risk of having "tainted" software. By "tainted"...I mean, p2p avenues are becoming a highly utilized vehicle for spreading trojans/worms/bots. Malware writers use these resources to infect people. You install what you think is Windows or Adobe Photoshop, or go to play that favorite CD you just downloaded, or watch that hot movie...and guess what's also wrapped inside? Yup...a trojan. Your PC is now a bot on the net spreading stuff, etc.
Not to mention most people don't like helping others with pirated software.

you need to remember... and as YOSC already covered what happens from those warez sites or torrent sites you get the ISO's from to do your installs.MCpoolish wrote:dunno whats the website, forgot it already, but i know its a sp2..
You need a official disk to do another reinstall from...try that then report back ok!

You still haven't said if your using this type of disk or a copied ISO from a odd site which we've asked for also.
This problem should NOT be solved in a public forum.MCpoolish wrote:no.its not a genuine one.dunno where did he got that![]()

I cannot speak for Speedguide, but many of us here do NOT condone the use of pirated software, esp Windows operating systems.
While the poster did not create the pirated software, the use of it is still criminal.

Thats just Service pack 2..thats not the installer or ISO. You need to order yourself a legit copy of Windows and install that. Till then destroy the disk you have cause its infected with something and at this point it doesn't matter what.MCpoolish wrote:yeah lol.but i dunno where he got that one..oh BTW i know now where he downloaded the windows sp2..here is the link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=049C9DBE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en
If you have a legit key I'll be more than happy to upload a legit OEM iso of XP home or pro with SP3 slip streamed so you can burn a disk. At least from me I think you can trust it more so than downloading from some odd ball site or torrent site.
Your choice.. let me know.
ok again what version of XP? Home or Pro? It should have a genuine windows sticker on the bottom of it saying which along with a key code. I'll upload you a Dell XP home or Pro ISO to use so you won't have to punch in the key as it does it for you. But I need to know which one..the service pack # doesn't matter.MCpoolish wrote:XP sp2,his laptop is a dell model.
