is there a patch for the original RA for windows xp? I have the old one that was 2 disks long and i can't get it to play...
It says windows 5.1 is running, this is a win95 game only...
wanted to relive some memories!

Reason #1 to keep a win95 disk around, to play Carmageddon and C&C RA
There is a patch! Not sure where it is but I have installed it several times on XP.
I'll look around real quick....
...Couldn't find the patch, but there is a way to play with the compatability settings. Try setting all the fiels in the folder to windows 95 and check all the visual themes, 256 color, etc...boxes under it.

New C&C? Why no New Starcraft? T_T
I've already seen this new C&C game at Gamespot. It has a title called Tiberian Wars, and its screenshots look enticing. However, I think EA better takes this game seriously, because EA has got a bad name for poor game support/patching that makes many C&C fans unhappy. Check out the subforum for this game at Gamespot and you can see a thread called "Why does everyone hate EA?". Also, if I'm not wrong, EA had already discontinued support for C&C Generals 1 or 2 years ago... I think this news must have broken the hearts of many fans who play this game online.
However, I'll still play C&C3 if it is fun. It's not a must for me to play C&C3 online. But if it's Starcraft 2, then it's a MUST!!!

Ya, I know. I'm just voicing my little sad feeling about new C&C games being released in time while Blizzard is still doing Starcraft updates.Shagster wrote:c&c is EA Games, starcraft is blizzard.
I can understand. Blizzard is still promoting WoW/WC at this time and they don't want to release another strategy game that competes against it. They will most probably consider doing the Starcraft 2 project once people are tired of playing WoW/WC, which is not going to happen in the next few years.
Anyway, let's wait for C&C3 first...
