On my Camaro I am running Hooker Longtube Super Comp Headers (1 3/4" primaries, 3" collector) to an offroad Y-pipe (no Cat) and it is 3" all the way back to the muffler. The car also no longer has the AIR or EGR emissions equipment... I love not having emission testing

Borla's are awesome. Had a full stainless steel header to tip package on my last Jeep.
Million mile warranty. Nice deep healthy sound to them also...not annoyingly loud or raspy or whiney chain saw sound. Just a mellow deeper sound, not really louder at all...just something a well tuned ear can pickup.

Yeah, the Borla setup for a Trailblazer is dual outs, and man, when you step on it, sounds like an All American V8
Borla is nice, but I decided hooker will be my choice for exhaust, read that borla and flowmaster are too restrictive. Borla is 1200 and hooker is 250, so I dont mind too much

sound expensive $1200!
mandrel bend + universal mufflers, get a shop or a friend to do it for you,
cost around $400+ for the piping/muffers/resonators alone, very cheap and worth the money.
Friends exhaust: Fully custom 3” stainless steel exhaust, no bolts, only v band connections the whole way back

Borla's are expensive..but in a league all their own. They focus on the truck market...4x4's. A lot of offroaders and utility trucks...which accumulate mud up there...cakes up, any other exhaust system would be getting replaced every other year because they'd rot 'n rust out. I know that because I used to take the cheap way out in prior exhaust systems. (pacesetters and cheap brands like that)
Plus I trailer my boat...so at least twice a year my Jeep gets a bit dunked in salt water (even though I rinse her off well after each time at the boat launch)
Gibson made a 1/2 decent one..sounded pretty good.
Anyways...Borla...absolute top grade stainless...and that million mile warranty. Will outlive your vehicle.

Another thing I learned when asking about the borla, alot of guys mentioned that stainless is actually not as strong as aluminum, or whatever it is the other exhausts are made of. Stainless is jsut resistant to rust.

Not sure....I know Borla makes their pipes thicker....if SS is stronger or weaker than other common metals used in exhaust systems...not sure it really matters. You're not using your exhaust for a hoist to pull boulders out of manholes are ya?
Or is your frame rusted out and cleaved in half, and you need your exhaust system to take over the job of holding your car together?

Wait, your not suppose to use the exhaust as a suspension device?
