Well Crap

Post by Brent »

My sister just called me and said Seth (my step dad) left my mom at a restaurant crying, and she went to the bar there and is drunk now, apparently he just left and she has no way home. I guess they had a big fight.

My sisters husband is on the way to pick her up right now.

This doesn't sound good...

i hate it when stuff like this happens

So what are you going to do Brent? Sit in front of the computer?

i'm on the phone with various people

i live about 45 minutes from her, so i can't just run over there or anything quickly

Chris, my sisters husband, is on the way to pick her up, they are about 5 minutes away, i'm also talking to the neighbors over there which they are really really good friends with, trying to see where she is going to stay for the night

i'm ready to jump in the car if i need to go anywhere though

I'd go kick Seth's ass, but that's just me.

tell me about it

this has been on-going for years

but she never seems to be able to take that leap that is divorce, come close, but not quite made it, and let me tell you everyone has tried to convince her to do it

this is the worse one though, he's actually never left her somewhere without transportation before

so that's why you don't drink, you're afraid your husband will leave you at a bar while you are drunk and you have no transportation?

Taxi?

Don't you just wish your parents would just grow up. I know I did. Mine split around 8 times before they called it quits after 40+ years.

Best thing to do is stay out of the way IMO.

ok, she's at the neighbors house now, eating, doing better, she needs a good nights sleep

and maybe, just maybe this action has made things a bit clearer for her

i don't know why she puts up with his crap, all she is doing is hurting herself by staying with him

life sucks!

Sorry to hear that Brent.
I hope she's ok and finds a way to work through this.

Offer her your support and let her know you love her, that'll help a lot.

Your mom should not drink more than she is capable of tolerating.

your sisters husband is enabling your moms alcoholism

your parents are not being good role models for you

your destined to follow their heathen path.

Seth is not my parent, technically he is my step-dad, but i wouldn't even call him that. More like ******* is appropriate.
