Nice Bouncer, I have proof that you have insulted a member

Post by Brent »

CAn't take the heat, so you close the thread.
Bouncer wrote:I see, apparently you see someone who is explaining what the argument is as being a proponent of that argument.

The line:

"While there is a point here worth discussing, it's obvious a draft is very very unlikely." is a bit too subtle for you. But then you were never as bright as you thought you were.

And by you I mean anyone who takes words out of context and doesn't ask clarifying questions before issuing huge over-generalizations and personal attacks on others.

I would say quite the opposite. I see no insult at all from Bouncer. If anything It is Burke who is in the wrong.

On another note...what is up with everyone attacking the mods as of late? They are only human, and this place aint easy to moderate and I can vouch there is no bias per one side or the other, a while back I might have thought that but I was wrong.

Because the Mods are unfair.

They close/ban/delete threads that don't agree with their political views or if someone disagrees with their personal views and challenges them in those threads.

1.) I didn't close the thread.

2.) I was making a point to Burke about his posting style, and why it's counter-productive.

3.) I've not asked for Burke to be banned. I fully expected he would do what he did and in effect, set him up, in order to get my point across to him.

I don't work by entrapping people Brent, and you ought to know me well enough by now to know I don't.

Finally, I don't even see it closed now. I'd suggest you refresh your view or something.

Funny is when a fat lady walks around while someone plays the tuba. Once you've seen that, you'll never laugh at anything else. Except maybe a skeleton dancing around while someone plays the xylophone, which is almost exactly the opposite of a fat lady walking around while someone plays the tuba. Well, a skeleton is the opposite of a fat lady. But is a xylophone the opposite of a tuba? History will decide.

I don't care if this gets me banned but it has to be said, and I hope Ken and Philip are listening.

Bouncer needs to stop getting so involved in the political threads.

Everyone he gets involved in someone either gets banned, their threads delted/editted, or a member gets upset at him, and then he edits/deletes or closes the thread.

Anyone who disagrees with his political views in a thread risks getting banned or their thread closed.

Why must we post in fear like about such open debates?

If you have such a problem with the direction of SG, why don't you just stop posting here?

You act like you don't have a choice to come here or something.

Ok Brent...this one your going to have to prove.

You've made the accsation...I'd suggest you get busy and prove it. The fourm is loaded with anti Kerry anti Bush threads.....Loaded. The deleted forum has few...

My debates with GH are legendary on this forum. There isn't a single thread of his we've ever yanked to my knowledge. If I may, even though we don't agree on a lot of issues....he's a stand up guy in my book. Why is that? Because he doesn't insult, he debates.

The difference is I realize the mistakes I made, I know I did bad, I apologized, and I was punished for it.

Will bouncer and the other mods like downhill apologize? Will they be punished?

Thanks downhill =)

I do agree, I dont recall ever my thread or post being deleted, or even edited and most know I am very much on the right side on most issues.

Well look, you know how bouncer and the other mods are.

PM to phillip and try to get them fired. If that doesnt work, then I guess its time to find a new internet forum.

But posting 3 or 4 threads flaming the mods? Big contribution to board harmony I see.

I don't want to hear about this. Its his problem, not mine. If you feel the same way as him exchange emails or leave with him.

Mods have political opinions and are human too, they have every right to post in every thread as you do. Their personal opinions have nothing to do with their position as moderators.

We try not to let our personal views interfere with the moderation of these forums as much as possible. Our actions on particular threads are discussed, we try to act as a team and justify what we do... It is not an easy nor rewarding job, as a matter of fact mods try to restrict what they express because their every word is scrutinized and linked to SG policy...

I still believe we have an excellent team overall, and all mods have proven to be an asset to this community.
