SG Game server website

Post by YeOldeStonecat »

A couple of you guys have tossed together some ideas for the "revamped website" for the gameserver once it goes Vietnam.

Can you post links to them here...gather some information, share ideas, work together to come up with one kickbutt site?

MM has been doing the website currently up there, I just thought it might be a cool idea to get one doneup with lots of ideas...like a community effort. Also in the interest of keeping it updated in a timely fashion, when changes occcur to the server.

Indy, I like it a lot. When I'm viewing it on my 1024x768 computer, the ~200 pixel banner frame takes up a bit too much real estate. Makes the main frame too scroll happy. Excellent job. :D

( If this is a Clan type website )

I think it would be cool to have a list of SG Member/players on the side ( or like Indy's ) , with a link to their stats from the BF main Stats page ... Like so :

1 [SG] Snuf

2 [SG] MountainMan

( of course if you rank them through their Rank points you will have to have some way or automated updating as psotions change so fast )

Then only members who have logged a certain number of posts/hours with the SG logo can get thier name on the list .... ( Say 400 posts and 8 hours on the Game server ) that way when others come to the site they could see the current stats of the Clan and it's members ... Also sort the players according to rank points ( again like Indy's site but all in the same listing instead of two different ones )

Maybe have a Clan member of the week or month ( being the one who the previous week/month made the most kills or highest flag capture ..... ) Displayed on the main page as incentive and acknowledgement

Just a couple of idea's :) I only wish I could write webpages ... :(

I like the site Indy .... but the colors don't seem to match well with me ... ( might be this monitor ) ... I prefer the darker image colors with bright contrast ..... Basic colors too ... ( That's just a personal preference )

The only thing that this needs is slight stretch to the SG logo ... Photoshop should be able to do it easily and let you stretch it up to the right to match the BFV logo ... Other than that's It's awsome :D

How about a certificate for the player of the month on the website?

Example:

Image

I've got a much larger blank copy of the certificate that can be used multiple times and is suitable for framing ;) :D

I have been swamped at work and have not done a ton on it in the last week or so. It is on my home computer.

If someone else wants to do it, that is fine.
