Common courtesy?

Post by Immortal »

I'm in class right now and people around and behind me are chattering while I was trying to listen to the prof talk.

How come people can't be more courteous?

I remember in my elementary school, I used to be the captain of the class (relected every year :) ) Whever someone misbehaved or talked,I can tell them to be quite or I just go loudly "SHHHH". I had the power to even punish thm since I was the elected captain.

I would think that these people who are in their early twenties should be able to control themselves or at least think of others.

Ah well, back to taking notes...

Think about it like this Immy. You'll be CEO of some company and they'll be the janitors that cleans your office after mid-night. ;)

ask to be put in the front row....

:D
Every normal man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.

Do what i did in class one time to two morons behind me that wouldn't shut up. The prof. was lecturing and working a problem on the board. This was in college algebra. These guys were setting right behind me just chatting away loudly like they were outside or something and no one around us could hear anything(you could tell lots of people were annoyed), but no one would say anything to them about it, not even the teacher. After listening to these idiots for about 20 minutes i banged my fist as hard as i could on my desk, half jumped up and turned around and just stared at them with a crazed look in my eye for about 15 seconds. Then i just set down and started taking notes again. Neither one of them said a word for the entire rest of the class and avoided eye contact with me for the rest of the semester. LOL. They must have thought they pushed me over the edge, and they just about did.

Spitballs are better. They're silent. Sufficiently skeevy to induce behavior correction. And if done properly, completely stealthy. Plus, you won't get suspended for fighting, nor have to deal with all the legal hassles that accompany assault and battery charges. ;)

Just my 2 cents.

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box ;).
