Basically it means both DX9 level cards have a method to overcome the lightmap problem with AA enabled
ATI = Centroid Sampling supprot (or clamp texture coordinates)
NVIDIA = Clamp Texture Coordinates with PS2.0
Between these two approaches, multi-sample anti-aliasing artifacts should be a non-issue for any DX9-level hardware running Pixel Shader 2.0.

We'll release one of the demo movies with the anti-aliasing artifacts in and one with the anti-aliasing changes.

the 9800 pro still may have the better shader speed, which will benefit hl2 a lot since it can use pixel shader 2.0
