Only one user in XP

I ran across a tip last year on how to run XP with one administrative account and nothing else. I am very dense with permissions and so forth and recently had to format and reinstall and wound up with an administrative account and an account with my name on it that is supposedly administratively based. I find that there are some things I can't do when logged on as myself. Can anyone point me to the tip on how to return to a single user, standalone, non networked OS?

Delete the users profile and account then rename the administrators account to what you want.
