got a question for ya. under TCP/IP properties, clicked advanced, clicked WINS, is the Enable LMHosts lookup supposed to be checked?

Yes, but you can disable NETBIOS over TCP/IP if you are not on a network. :) ;)

I'm using DHCP on a standalone, non-networked PC and when I disable netbios over TCP, my speeds drop considerably. Just a fluke or are these dark Maine Winters getting to me
