In Windows XP you use slide show and it will show photos in full screen is there a function in Windows 98 that will do the same thing.

No. Millenium has it, but it's not worth the other problems it comes with.

Try Irfan Viewer. It's free (good price) and has a very small footprint on your machine. It has a slideshow feature, or you can scroll through any folder with image files by using your mouse wheel.
