Philip,Mods-Respectfull recuest to turn Avatars Off

Post by OxBlooD »

Philip,Bouncer I respectfully request to turn the Avatars off in SG.
All this commotion about avatars is not worth it. Ind is not making this website too professional. SG is suppose to be The Broadband Source,All about speed and performance, not about avatars.
Not everybody thinks a like there will be always somebody that doesn't like somebody Else's av. So Please Just turn them off and let this put issue to rest :(

Please do not turn off avatars

If people are actually taking offence to them , then I think they should be talking with a medical proffesional

the only problem is....if you can think of it...someone will be offended by it

Im suprised now that someone hasnt complained because OxBlood's name has blood in it....some people are just senstive whiners..

Ox I fully agree with you...if its this much of a hassle then just end it. after all...even though we do...this place isnt about Avs and self expression its about computer help. What other reason did any of you come here for? the general forums just hooked us like a disease :D

i do think this is starting to get blown way out of proportion. Use your best judgment regarding an avatar. For example, i switched mine to the Michigan Wolverines helmet. It's safe to say outside of a few Buckeye fans, that this is in no way deemed offensive.

Yes, we can be sarcastic and suggest that someone's avatar could be deemed inappropriate, but let's be realistic. Avatars are still allowed to be used, so if you want to use them use them, but what's done is done so let's move forward.

Freedom not to see offensive avatars

Post by major marco »

Hey everyone, there is this concept out there called the freedom to choose. If you see something that offends you online then you have two choices--go to another web site or stop looking at it. Boom. Instant resolution.

Hey retard, your idea works out in the "free" world, but this is a privately owned website, meaning Philip and his moderation staff can do as they damn well please. Also, your two choices work for you as well, if you don't like the site and it's rules written or unwritten, you too can either shut up or stop looking at it. Boom Instant resolution.
