I just installed a fresh copy of XP Pro. Then I installed XP Power toys. Now when I go to the start menu I have to click on everything, like programs, settings and such to get it to open.
What is the option called to make the directories open without having to click on them?
If I go to start, left click, then to programs, left click, then to games, left click, and so on. I don't know what it's called to make them open automatically again.
I have an XP question

I have not played with XP that much ... so I just booted up my girlfriend's computer. She has a Dell 4500 with XP Home Edition on it. I did have to click the Start menu to open it ... but then just placing the cursor over All Programs let it open. I did not have to click it like you are saying you did.
I looked in the mouse control panel to see if by chance there was anything kind of setting in there. There is not.
I will be interested to see if you get a solution to this problem. I will keep an eye on this post to see if you do.
Good Luck.

You should just have to right click on the start button and click properties and then click Customize and then Click the Advance tab the it should be the first check box says some thing like open sub-menus when pause mouse on.
Hope this helps

You are correct. I followed your instructions and they were right on the money. I knew I had seen that somewhere before but could not figure it out. Hope the original poster of this thread sees this.
