I never get this when people like blacks and gays complain about not enough of "our" people blah blah blah. They must realize they are a minority. Gays make up less than 10% of the population yet want to be represented on tv like they are in the majority? Same with blacks... they make up 13% of the population.....although I can't see how they complain about this anymore.
whatever ratings say it all, if ppl wanted to watch more blacks or gays then the stuff about ti would get great ratings and all shows would kinda move that way if it were to be so loved, but it doesnt happen so then we must not want it, or those who do dont watch when its on so they dont get represented. oh well straight, white, black, gay, or all in one TV sucks!

Isn't "The Christopher Lowell Show" enough for them.
Christopher Lowell literally taught me about crown molding and corner hutches. He has his "quirks" but it sure as hell is more entertaining than Martha Stewart or any of those HGTV shows.
Oh, and while I personally disgree with the homosexual lifestyle, I don't think it's necessary for some of the "mild-mannered" bashing in a couple of the replies here; I just posted because I believe advocacy groups can spend their time and money much more effectively than complain about something that has only to do with ratings. Not that I expected the thread to become some kind of logical beacon or anything.

I get the feeling that there are those people in Hollywood that wish to NOT tell a story but rather shove an agenda down our throats.
Unfortunately, just about everything is agenda-based. TV, "social awareness" movements, politics...it's all-pervasive and I don't even get disheartened by it anymore. I suppose I'm desensitized to it.
