Reading CD-Rs

Post by Jeremy »

One/Some of my burned cdrs (not rws) end up partially or totally unreadable in some cd drives. My burner reads them all fine, my ancient 4x cd-rom reads them fine, but my dvd drive cannot read them, or reads a different session on the cds. Same with the cd drives at a friends house (48x) and my other computer (52x). Is the very high read speed causing the read error? In my event log, my dvd drive times out according to the log when i inserted my cd.

You need a multi-read CD-ROM to properly read CD-R discs.
