Planning a holiday

Post by Suzie »

Destination right now unknown.

Promise not to laugh. I've never been out of Ontario and only have been to the states 1 time and that was to New York State about 200 miles from New York City when I was 11.

Looks like a good time for time off is in October and I was hoping you all could suggest some hot spots to travel. We like the outdoors, hiking, biking, camping, fishing that sort-of thing and of course great scenery.

Thanks in Advance
:)

.....and my favorite-Tasmanian devils! Croc could keep ya busy for a while I'm sure. ;)

If that's out of the question, did you have a preference as to where you may be considering?

Australia would be nice but not this trip.

No preference really, looks like a road trip this time. So anywhere but here would be nice, we'll have 10 days. :)

The southwestern part of the states. Grand Canyon, Vegas, Cali...all nice that time of the year. Take a road trip through all that area. And what Cisco said take a drive to Cali and see the sights there too. :) Not that far of a drive from Vegas.

Hi Suzie

Algonquin Park here in On.

Beautiful and lot's of Camping, Fishing, Hiking & Biking.

No long drive gives you max. time their & no 50 cents on the Dollar penalty either.

The Sand Banks in Picton, or Wausaga Beach are nice for the kids as well.

Just a thought. if looking further afield the Laurentians in Quebec is also close and beautiful.

Have a Fun Holiday wherever you decide

regards

Yellowstone National Park.....

Don't think the camping spots are open that late but I'm sure the cabins are.. You would need to check. And one beautiful drive from your neck of the woods, to there.

It wouldn' t be crowded. The drawback is with the cooler weather, the pools are harder to see into.

Thanks for all the suggestions, never thought about the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone National Park. Definately some searching to do for some info and planning.

Hey minir

We've been to Algonquin many times, it is beautiful there. We have enjoyed every trip we've made.

Wausaga Beach we haven't been to yet but we are thinking of going in 2 weeks. Looks like a Mon to Thurs trip, so it'll have to be a close one.

We really enjoyed Sauble Beach a few years ago on the last long weekend of the summer, it was a party I'll never forget. We had the worst luck anything that could happen did but it was still a lot of fun. It's a long insane story that we can laugh about now. I guess that's what making memories is all about.

:)

Hey brembo

So you need your house painted...hmmm do you pay travel expenses? :D and where's my holiday fit into that?
