regedit dead

Post by Jeremy »

my windows xp registry editor doesn't exactly work. When i try to run it, it starts and closes right away (it doesn't freeze in task manager). I heard a worm does this, but norton didn't find anything. would a corrupt registry prevent its loading? how could that be possible seeing as i am typing this from that particular machine?

Try using Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows, then scroll down and locate "regedit.exe", then click it to open. (If you want a short cut, right click on it and send to desktop (shortcut)

Or try using Command Prompt instead of "Run"
