comps can't see each other?

Post by Ahoyhoy »

I've got 3 comps running Win 98 and one running XP. They are all connected to a Linksys 4 port router. All comps have access to the internet, however none of the comps are able to see each other on the network? Everything was working fine about 3 weeks earlier until something probably got unintentionally changed. TCP/IP is the only protocol running for all comps, all under the same workgroup name. Any ideas? Thanks!

workgroup won't matter for tcp/ip, only for netbeui.

Is file and print sharing bound to tcp/ip on all machines?

IS something actually shared out on the machine you are trying to connect to?

Is there a common account/user for all three machines?

Are you using DHCP or manually assigning IP addresses?

Can you ping any of the other hosts?

Are you running firewalls on each machine?
anything is possible - nothing is free
