Which power supply should I get?

Post by ze2o »

Soon I will be adding a new power supply, but I dont know which manufacturer to chose. Please post your opinions on exceptional power supply manufacturers.

And would you consider the manual fan speed control on the new Enermax Power Supplys and advantage?

Antec or Enermax....neither will disappoint you. Stable power that lasts a long time. Whenever I've strayed to another brand, I've been sorry and replaced with Antec or Enermax.

My opinion, forget Antec. Get anything else.

I've had 2 brand new Antecs, both piece of crap. I finally went for Allied 400w. Double fan and i'm verrrrrrry happy with it.

After the hell i went thru with the ones i had, i can't agree on that comment. But then again, i was the unfortunate sucker. Like i said, in my opinion i would never buy another Antec product again.

They just kept shutting off for no reason. I had all my settings at default, no oc'ed. No way of adjusting 5vrails, no pots. I thought it was a heat issue, i switched fans for better cooling and still they shut off. I bought a 300w and a 350w both for the stock Duron 1G. By now i figure the fish made homes of them at the bottom of the river. I've spent weeks trying to figure out the problem why they just shut off, never found a solution.

So you see, my apologies for being foward but i think Antec sux the big one.

I won't buy a screw, much less a psu from that company.
