17 viewsonic.... proview is pure crap.

if your in the market for a nice 19" check out the samsung syncmaster 955df, it's not aperture grille but it flat... it's also around $240 but does have a $50 rebate!!!(under $2 hundge AR)

i picked up a compaq P910 last week for $210 shipped.... (19" mitsubishi naturally flat diamondtron.) you can pick that up for about $240 shipped now... yes i know it's a compaq but the stats don't lie 1280X1024@100hz rocks the house, all that with the mitsu tube and a three year warranty..

I have a 19" Proview. I bought two 17" for my mom and dad. Thay have a nice picture and have been working fine so far. The 15" that I gave to my sister in law died. She left in on for about two years. She never turns off her PC. It's really not that bad of a monitor.

the ATI decoder... the radeon supports IDCT and motion compensation ion hardware... the MSI player might take advantage of the IDCT and aslo might do it in software...

the only option the MSI could have that the ATI might lack.... AC3 decoding?
