Icons!!

can anyone send me the icons from XP for all of your basics....IE IE, network places, trash, my computer....they are sooo cool looking and 2k doesnt have them (or I havent found them yet)

ok I got them....now where do I put em again? system32 folder? and will it recognize the .icon extension or does it need to be something different

You can put them anywhere. Just click on the current icon properties and select "Change Icon" and point it to the folder and icon of your choice.

ok one more quick question...that last thing you told me only changes the shortcuts...I want to change like what the folders look like....etc...and I can only change recycle bin my comp my net. and my docs. through display props..

also.....mike can you possibly send me the trashcan WITHOUT the handles? that was the one I was looking for...the one without...

I think you have to change the folders icons through windows explorer. I cannot find the system recycle bin icon without handles. I have it as my icon, but I do not know where XP stores them

I've got some good hockey logo icons if you want them. They work with 98se surely they will work with XP, I mean they are only icons.

thnx stu......if I could see what theyd look like I would love to see em (but I messed up my icons, read my other posta bout needing help) Ill reformat so I can read them...but then I would have to love hockey

The icons are located in windows\system32\shell32.dll

The old dos type ones are located in the windows\system32\moricons.dll
