Sneaky sneaky Netscape!

Post by TonyT »

I run NS 6x browsers for testing html code.

Netscape has been doing a dirty with their 6x browsers though. As you know, AOL owns Netscape now. A fresh install will include a bunch of aol crapola, which can easily be deleted and edited out of the registry.

BUT, sneaky Netscape also puts the url free.aol.com in the IE Trusted Sites Zone! Hoow dare they! Gosh darn covert marketing gurus......

You know, crap like that should be illegal. That's just shady.

Wait a second, WHAT THE HELL? I just checked, and I have free.aol.com on mine too, and I DON'T have Netscape installed. Anyone know what other programs (such as IM or Winamp) that AOL might be adding this "feature" into?

Why don't you guys just use Mozilla?

http://www.mozilla.org

It runs better then Netscape and supports all of the same plugins.

Stef. I use it for testing html; cross browser compatability in the code.
