res hacker, and dual booting

:2cool:

i booted into my c drive OS... opened explorer.exe from my d drive OS with reshacker.exe. exported the bmp with the origonal bitmap (from explorer.exe). changed it, and imported back in, overwriting the old one....

booted into the D drive OS, bam

can do this with basicly anything

i think going into safe mode allows you to do the same.

or if that doesnt work, just copy explorer.exe and change it how you want. then boot to a win98 boot disk, and swap the origonal and the copy that you changed

bam, awesome stuff...

i tried to do that b4 to that bar and to the start button but it would never accept it,it would always go back to the original.i thought it might have something to do wit sp2

Upload it to where?? I have a geocities site, but not sure if you can link from geocities. Does anyone know if you can?

yes you can. With a small change that is. Just change the extension on the pic to .txt and post it like that in the img tags. worked for me for a long time.

I had another one, that earth pic with all the lights, but this one is just so cool with the shading from light to dark. It looks great on the 19" monitor. One of these days going try it on my 21" at work.
