This speed test actually tests your browsing speed across the Internet. Pick your country and post your result. I get 270 kBps.

This test has been around for a while. The only problem I see with it is overhead...

How do they account for negotiation what size packets do you receive when you download a 1KB image 100 times ? It's not the same as downloadig 100KB file.

Also, how about browser limitations, you can pull only so many images at one time.

Other than that it's a good test, should be much more consistent than downloading from a single site.

This is browser simulation test. It tests how fast your connection would go when you are just browsing the internet. It doesn't apply to downloads. It says right on the site.

I hear ye, brethern. Had one myself for Quake 2 and UT. Had fun overclocking it, too. I got my Geforce 3 for a good deal as well directly from the boyz at VisionTek (Engineer's Sample). I just need the Ultra SCSI hard drive, with the OC-18c line to the house, and all will be well.
