You can use ICS to share the connection betwoeen the two. I have Access Manager (Or what ever PPPoE app you are using) instructions at my site.

Dude i would get a router if I were you. If you do ICS, your gonna put the server computer at a HUGE risk. 1. It has to be on in order for the 2nd computer to access the net. 2. Any hacker threats go to the server computer first, then yours. So if one is infected the other will be.
With a router, your have more security. Only the computer you want to be online has to be on. Built in firewall. Plug and Play (Most of the time) As you accumulate more computers, all you have to do is plug them in and power up and your ready.
You don't have to have the most expensive router out, but if you do consider getting one, look for one that acts a DHCP,built in switch and supports 10/100. Trust me if you get one, YOU WON"T BE DISAPPOINTED. I have a 4 port linksys and i'm only running 2 computers so far.
