Have to hit repair button every 5 minutes

Post by ConfusedAsHell »

Ok...I installed XP last night. It was an upgrade..I know..not as good as full install. Everything went ok. The one problem that is KILLING me is I have to hit "repair" on the network gui every 5 minutes. It keeps dropping my connection when surfing the internet. It's weird. One time it dropped, I pinged my gateway, and dns servers and it pinged them fine..but it couldn't locate a webpage until I clicked on "repair". It seems like it's losing my dns, but I looked at the advance details and it had all my dns' listed. What gives?!

yeah this repair crap is garbage. Every few minutes REPAIR REPAIR REPAIR. Its so bad that ive made a shortcut to the desktop for it. And i have that QoS installed. Made no difference whatsoever. This never happened UNTIL @home dumped and ATTgarbage took over. I had XP for a while now with no problems. Whats the deal here????

I'm running Windows XP Pro, and I don't have any problems with my broadband.

I have ATTBI service, too.

There is nothing wrong with my internet in XP Pro (Licensed and registered) with AT&T broadband.
