XP driver update

Post by Ahoyhoy »

I've got a Turtle Beach Montego II for a soundcard using Windows XP home edition for the OS. I upgraded from 98se and had some sound problems, which were fixed with newer drivers. After I upgraded to XP, I've been getting sound pops in all my mp3's while running other programs like IE. Althought this wasn't the same problem I had in 98se, I think it might be fixed with an updated driver. Do any of you know if I can use 98 drivers with XP drivers? If not, where can I get the updated drivers for XP? Thanks! Ahoyhoy

You need all new drivers. Get the soundcard drivers at: http://www.voyetra-turtle-beach.com/site/

All other drivers, consult the manufacturer. Some drivers, however, can be updated through Microsoft update, which you should also do after upgrading at: http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
