Floppy Drive Fail

Post by livewyer »

I have checked the cable and even tried a different floppy drive, but i still get a floppy drive fail message when i boot up. I also made sure the settings are correct. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the floppy controller chip on the motherboard is at fault.
Try clearing the cmos/bios, if that fails u may need to get a new board :)

After you do as was suggested make sure the floppy is turn on in the bios. Someone may have turned it off by accident. But I would rather think its your cord. GoodLuck! ;)
