Ping is jumping!!!

In q3 while playing ra3 my ping is jumping from 70-150 all the time. Like it will be 128 then next second its 75 and so on. I am wondering what all I can do to fix this in the Registry, Quake 3, and anywhere else in my computer.

Goto your quake3 multiplayer settings and see what you have it set on. ie which one = 56k, ISDN. Cable/DSL and LAN

You should be able to run it on the cable/DSL setting. Lower it one speed and see if it stablizes. If it does then you should read my Thread I have started in this section.
