Ok I just got dsl today..and it kicks 56k's a$$ :D

Of course, as a SGer, I want to tweak everything possible. So can someone help me over at the Tweaking Forum?

I just need to know what I should download or do to my registry.

lurker leave it for a few days b4 u mess with the windows reg. i tried the patches and found them to give very little gain.

Can I download/use the speedguide patch, and then do the dslreport tweak together? or should I just do one?

*i asked in the other forum, no one responded yet..*

Just do the SG tweak. It should be all you need.

You should do the speed tweak and also the webpage loading tweak. the webpage one helped me out 300%!

i bet soon most people with 56k connection that are exploring the world of computers and then later upgrading to a higher bandwidth solution will probably start downloading warez :rotfl:

yeah teh tweaks here helped my conn alot. I used to get Dl speeds of 500 but now they are 2000+

Stage 1.. OH **** i have cable

Stage 2 month later.. My conn sux

stage 3.. Tweakes :)

Stage 4 I Vow never to go back to %56K

What happened with me

Stage 1: Im getting cable next month!

Stage 2: My computer is set! tomrrow!!!

Stage 3: Wow, this is faster, but not as fast as my neighbors...

Stage 4: Depression. I want more speed!

Stage 5: Call ISP, sent me a tweak, whooo man this is fast!

Stage 6: Vow never to go back to 56k

Stage 7: Came along speedguide, installed webpatch, hella fast!

Stage 8: Well.. here i am

Step one: Sucking up to Parents

Step two: W00h00 I get cable f00

Step three: Wow this **** Is BLAZING

Step Four: Hmmm Me speed Hungry need MORE.

Step Five: Visit the pUnks at SG and realize my Connection blows.

Step Six: Freaking 1500/300 caps how come lamers like YoS arent Capped when a Cool Dude like me are.

Step Seven: Acceptance

Step Eight: Forgetting step Seven and Go with 8mbit Sprint ION connection

I havnt reached Step 8 yet but Im trying.
