Why does my speed start off at 200kb then drop?

Post by DerrDevil »

Everytime i download i get an ultra fast speed at the beginning of the download like 200kb or soemthing then its starts droppign all the way down to 110kb... then it stays steady at that spead dropping to 100kb but then go back up to 110kb and down to 100kb again and then back up to 110kb...

its does this and stays steady at 110kb... but why cant my cable stay steady at 200kb like when it first started off as...?

because even before you select where you save file to, you already download a small portion of it. it starts 200 locally to catch up with what it already downloaded

also u get speed bursts that boost your speed temporarily. IE is not always accurate of what you are downloading.

Exactly, use a download manager like getright, that is more accurate.
