I have been using WInMX but it seems to be unreliable so I am looking for something similar to Napster. Thanks for your help!

I find FTP sites to be the quickest and easiest way to get entire Artist collections and stuff. Or just look for someone who shares your musical instrest and has good uploading ability :)

AudioGalaxy installs some spyware that, if removed, will **** your system right to hell.

I've found Morpheus to be one of the better ones out there, uses the same technology as Kazzaa I think.

KaZaA also has problems.
If you have a popular file-sharing program called KaZaA on your computer and suddenly start seeing yellow links to obvious ads on some of your favorite Web sites, this is because a cunning piece of software called TopText was automatically installed on your computer along with KaZaA. Many Web site owners are upset with this alteration of their content. But there is an opt-out procedure (albeit a somewhat cumbersome one) you can use to keep TopText links from being added to your site, according to the company that markets TopText.

Audio Galaxy is great if you don't mind spyware.

Morpheus has my vote! :D

MORPHEUS all the way f00
We have seen their kind before. They're the heirs of all the murderous ideologies of the 20th century. By sacrificing human life to serve their radical visions, by abandoning every value except the will to power, they follow in the path of fascism, Nazism and totalitarianism. And they will follow that path all the way to where it ends in history's unmarked grave of discarded lies.

Filetopia!

You get a huge list of channels, you then connect to a channel and you see a list of users. You then get there file list and can get any of their shared files.

There is a huge MP3 channel and also a huge movie channel (always 80+ people connected=TONS of movies).

Morpheus is really the best, it is a lot like KazaA, in the fact that you can get images and movies.

Morpheous and Kazaa are Identical. If your on morpheous you can download from people on Morpheous and Kazaa. And vise versa.

And both now limit you to 128 bitrate on MP3's which is unacceptable Image. Audiogalaxy is the way to go. I think the newest version lets you opt out of all spyware. I ran Ad-Aware and found none.

kazaa limits you to 128 bitrate not morpheus...and you can easily bypass the 128 bitrate limit in kazaa by simply editing a key in the registry.

Why the hell would they impose a limit on bitrate? To make transfers faster?

What a stupid concept.

Version 1.3 of Morpheus which came out in early July now imposes the limit. I did the hack, but no files would show up above 128.

I use Kaazaa or winmx. I usually go for the 128 bitrate anyways.
