forgot my router password

I forgot the password to gain access to my routers services. Well, I didn't forget it my dad changed it and he forgot it. Anyways..if you know how to reset it or how I can retreive the password..let me know...thanks.

Usually, leaving a router unplugged from its power supply for a period will reset to factory settings. Not necessarily true of all routers, tho. Check the manufacturers website or user docs.

If it's the Linksys, there is that little indented "factory reset" button in the front left you push in with a pin or toothpick.

Any other router, consult your owners manual, hopefully you didn't forget where you put that.

no...I moved out and brought my computer over for a week to use the internet...I needed to make my computer the DMZ host so I could host some games. My whole purpose of being here is to work on my portfolio and get some stuff up on the web so he didn't want me playing games =)
