Installed a Nexland ISB SOHO at home today. Its purpose is NAT between my DSL modem and computer. I bought it as a result of the good review at this site -- thanks Philip. Preliminary observations are:
Setup was as simple as described
User Manual is excellent
PPPoE mode eliminates the many annoying
"features" of WinPoet; this alone is worth
the cost
Unit runs cool
Not a controlled experiment, but I've had no
dropouts under Realplayer since changing from
WinPoet
Multiuser Netscape email password functionality
under Win2k is retained without any user
action (haven't tested IE yet)
W32tm (time correction program under Win2k)
works without requiring any special actions
Nice!

Sorry, but your questions exceed my knowledge. Are you trying to enable remote configuration of the router? Due to security issues seen recently with other routers, e.g. Cisco, I password protected mine, and as far a I know, it is only accessible from within the LAN.
You also seem to have a blocking problem that hints more of a firewall configuration problem than a router problem. Are you running Zone Alarm or Tiny by any change? Be sure they aren't blocking what you want to receive. All router outgoing port requests are enabled by default. AFAIK, everything coming back as a result of the requests are passed. The "access filters" page of the setup screens are for blocking, not access.
Another possibility is that you need to close, rather than stealth, port 113 as noted on page 40 of the user manual. I don't use any services that require this.
If English is not your primary language and you find parts of the user manual too obscure, please let me know and I will try to rephrase them.
