EZCD Creator

Post by Ahoyhoy »

I recently reformatted my computer and reinstalled all my programs. I've got a Samsung 8x DVD and a Sony 8x4x32 CD Burner. Before I reformatted, I was able to copy from the dvd to the burner with no problem at 8x. Now, EZCD creator runs a test to see how fast my dvd is, and it says only a transfer rate of 786k! Burning at 8x requires 1400. What happened to the speed? If I want to burn from dvd to my burner, I can only do that at 4x, what's going on? Any help here? In the options box under the samsung dvd, the only boxes checked are disconnect, auto insert notification and DMA. This is also the same with the sony burner. Any ideas as to what's happening? Thanks!

Check to be sure that DMA <direct memory access> is enabled on your hard drive, dvd & burner. It has to be checked on all for it to do what it is supposed to do. Other than that, i can't help you. I had that problem b4 and the DMA thing was the trouble - good luck.
Thanks -
