Having problems w/ Media Player

Post by AliBaba »

http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks

Your PC may not be setup properly to take full advantage of broadband speeds. Modifying your configuration to maximise performance is known as tweaking. For many users, tweaking is a misnomer as it implies subtle improvements. Fixing huge problems is more accurate!

Tweaking may fix
Slow download speeds
Download slower than upload speed
Skipping in TCP streaming video/audio
Blank web pages
Connection issues to some sites
Tweaking will not fix
tsmall>Packet loss
Multiplayer games over UDP
Your ping time
Regular PC freezes
Inherited hair loss

I want to refer to the line...skipping in TCP streaming video/audio. When I play my Napster files(w/napster's player or w/mediaplayer)audio skipps and eventually freezes, is there any tweaks that will help me. Could someone refer me to a forum that will. Could it me my CPU(100mhz)w/80MhzRAM. :( :(
My problem is that when I eat I get sleepy and when I get up I get hungry. So, it's really hard to eat when I'm not hungry or to sleep when I'm not sleepy, that's why I eat when I'm hungry and sleep when I'm sleepy, because when I eat I get sleepy and when I wake' I get hungry....HELP, HELP.

Maybe someone here knows how to fix your problem but remember dsl reports is a DSL test, not cable, so there recommendations pertain to DSL users :)

Lower your RWIN to 128480 with Dr. TCP click apply and reboot and see if this fixes the skip :)
