How do I change my registry back?

I used one of the patches and it seems like it slowed me down rather than speeding me up. I am by no means an expert, I know very little actually, about editing the registry and I need to know how I switch back to the backup I made using scanregw before I installed the patch. Any help?

Installed the sguide_tweak_98_ME patch.

Go to patch page this site, the patch you want is :sguide_default_9x.zip
This after running will take you back to default

Alright. Installed the default patch. Now, anyone around with AOL Instant Messenger able to walk me thru speeding stuff up?

My AOL SN is Daergard21 if anyone's got the time and or patience.
