Try both and test. Use the one that's faster and has good pings for your particular needs. Fast downloads doesn't necessarily mean good pings. You could even have two setups: one for mass downloading and one for games...If you play online games.

hey i dont think patches increase pings, then again i might have misread previous posts

i would go with the cablenut patch its easier to setup and edit, and it has a gui to it
