Is it bad to install 2 speedguide patches into the registry?

Post by uroodypoo23 »

I have a DirecPC w/AOL plus connection and I downloaded two patches from speedguide - the sguidetweak98 and the speedguide webpatch. I installed the tweak98 patch first, then the webpatch. However, my download rates remained at a 10-20KB range (supposed to be around 400kbps as advertised). Then, I went to dslreports and used drtcp. It improved my connection a bit (now it's 20-30KB range) but i'm wondering if the 2 patches from speedguide are keeping my download rate down (I want to reach the 50KB range). Thanks!

Leave faster loading of web pages in but run back to default patch to remove speed patch as it is not for your type of connection :p
