You don't have to dial in to establish a connection before using your ISP do you? I understand that there are some cable ISP that so this, but I've never seen any.

some routers/bridges/ have the PPPoE built in however if your getting a 1500MTU or greater than MTU of 1492 then more than likely your not using PPPoE and that it supports it.... Now wouldnt it be funny if cable went with PPPoE For most of you not I have no problem with it... But it might cause people to freak...
