win2k/ics problem

Post by Monster »

i'm on a cable connection and i have ics setup through my machine. i'm running win2k on an amd 450 with 384mb of ram and over 30gb of disk space.

the problem that i'm running into is that it seems that ics is using all of the tcp/ip stack and i'm getting error msgs telling me 'no buffer space available' when using programs like mirc, netscape, ie, etc...

it's my understanding that even if i were to increase the size of the tcp/ip stack for that connection, it would do me no good as ics uses a percentage of the stack rather than a preset amount.

would buying a router help? is there any software that could allow me to make the necessary adjustments?

any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.
