linux networking newbie

I'm an ADSL customer w/fixed IP. Just installed Caldera (2.2 kernel) as second OS on my NT 4.0 machine. It probed my NIC no problem, and is loading the driver (tulip). ifconfig shows my TCP/IP info as correct. I can ping myself, but have absolutely no outside connectivity. What am I missing?

I've never used Caldera; I use Mandrake 7.1. But make sure all of these are plugged into your settings:

IP address
gateway
DNS server(s)
computer name (assigned by your ISP)
domain name
