Lost my last dog.

Post by Humboldt »

5 years ago I had 5 dogs.

Just put my blue heeler mix down Monday, buried her Tuesday. A good 16 years.

First time I haven't had a dog in 35 years, 45 if you count family dogs.

Never gets easier but this one just sucked.

i feel for ya man, it does suck losing your furbabies, but keep the good memories alive and remember the precious time you spent together.

lost my chiweenie 1 year ago wednesday, think about her every day, but remember there are tons of dogs in shelters that need our help and love, i rescued a 10year old chihuahua mix on memorial day.

I’m so sorry for your loss.

I lost my Golden retriever (one of many dogs) this time last year. He just got old in the span a month. I had every test in the books run on him before I had him put down. He passed when it was his time (9 years old). He was also my Service dog. I miss him so much.

Again, my thought are with you.

People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Sorry for your loss. They are indeed family. Our last Rotty was the hardest of them all as he was the perfect example of the breed while being a terrific family dog. Now we have a pup named "Mongo" and he is doing a great job being Banjo's big brother

Thank you Doc.

My first dog was a golden.

NC Blue Ridge Mountains summer camp puppy I brought home when I was 15.

Buried her Jan 3 2000 about 15 miles north of me at my buddy's, 12 years-old.

Best dog ever (so many, I know).

Will never forget the time she was a pup and sh*t out one of my socks in the road.
She ate the wooden rungs off chairs, ate the corners off "really" nice rugs.

And of course the song my friends would sing to her:
"Let down your shirt and I'll give it a tug, then I'll go in the corner and sh*t on the rug."

Goldens are awesome.

Thank you.

Super cute shot!

I wouldn't mess with either one of them.
