NAT Problem (using a LUCENT Wireless modem)

Post by antowa »

Hi,

I installed NAT in my NT 2000 Server and I had a stranger problem...

The NT 2000 Server has 2 network cards and 1 is connected to Internet via a LUCENT Wireless modem, the other card is connected to a HUB/my network. The NAT works perfectly to download (at any rate) but the upstream works fine only with low rates.

The problem is when I try to transmit more data, if a try to upload a file via FTP, zModem (in a TELNET session), web... at any port I lost the connection of that transmition... NOT TO INTERNET, the connection to internet works perfect
and if I try from the server all works perfect, but not from the network behind the NAT.

It's really stranger and I don't know how can I resolve it. Could you help me? any idea?

Some guys talk me about it could be the MTU configuration... but how can I set it up in a Windows 2000? It's needed set it up in the client, in the server with NAT or in both? (may be is not the MTU)

thanks in advance,
Marcos Gardino
