thomson tg605s modem fails to take connection

Post by ricky21 »

I need your help in the following case.
I have a THOMSON MOD modem. TG605s, which I want to install in the home, but when it connects, it never connects, the DSL LED does not stop blinking. and my line is good because with the TP-LINK modem if it connects and I have perfect Internet. I do not know if this modem does not work with this type of ADSL connection. In the company this modem was connected to a metro ethernet service and when connecting it to the line of cantv it takes perfect connection. will it be that this modem can not be used with the domestic line? Thank you

It is possible that your ISP does not support that model, or it doesn't allow just any MAC address to connect to their network. I'd give them a call and see if you can find any info from them, give them the model and whatever info you can about the modem, and ask if it is compatible, if they need to activate it on their end, etc.
