I just started to dabble into VR and would like to learn more. I got the HP mixed reality headset. So far it's okay but nothing that's blowing my mind. Learning how to best use it.
Anyone have a Microsoft Mixed reality headset with any tips / pointers?
VR anyone?

i know a regional rep for Oculas rift. My understanding is a lot of people experience motion sickness etc.. so i kind of stayed away from them
I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous
sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box

I've had some more time to play with it. Here's my initial impressions...
* I don't feel like I'm in it yet (no presence achieved)
* Field of view is important - My current set still feels like I'm looking through scuba googles
* 3d generated stuff is better than videos - watching 360 4k videos is not as impressive as 3d generated content
* games that allow you to move / pick stuff up is quite cool
* Google earth VR is cool too, lots of cool experiences
Still too early for VR at this point I find so far if you think you will be transported to another world. Maybe 1 or 2 more generation from now it will be more main stream. It is definitely looking promising though.
