So I have 200mb internet but my downloads are slow. I wanted faster download speeds as I download a lot of vst plugins/instruments for music.
Yesterday I bought a new vst plugin and the file size was 3.7GB, yet it took 2 hours to download.
Is there anything I can do to improve the download speed? I'm running a wired connection.
Thanks
Your speed seems fine, however, you are also dependent on the speed of the servers you are downloading from, and anything in between. Imagine that 100 people are downloading plugins from that server, it may only be able to allocate very little bandwidth to your download. Your connection seems fast if online speed tests show that. You may also want to test with more distant servers.
Other than that, try the TCP Optimizer with the "Optimal" settings.
